Coffee Quality Institute (CQI) is a non-profit organization that acts worldwide to improve the quality of coffee and the lives of the people who work in its production. The CQI provides trainings and technical assistance to coffee growers and individuals who contribute to increasing the quality, value, volume and sustainability of the coffee chain. One of CQI's programs is the "The Q Coffee System" which aims to establish parameters for developing a common language between sellers and buyers of specialty coffees.
"Q Graders" are tasters who are CQI certified. They are tasters qualified to taste specialty coffees within the most judicious quality systems. Worldwide it has just over 1,000 Q Graders, and in Brazil about 170 certified testers.
Carolina after being a two-time Brazilian Cup Taster winner and fourth in the world championship, has now achieved the “Q” Grader certification.
